Canberra is a vibrant city with a huge number of attractions. Every visitor should see the displays that have been gathered together to provide an insight into what has made this country great.|
A visit to New Parliament House is a must. This building represents the character that is Australia
in its displays and historical memorabilia. Try to vist when Parliament is sitting and visit the Public Galleries to witness the decisions being made that effects our daily lives.
Other attractions include the Australian War Memorial where you can take some time to reflect on the commitments and camaraderie of Australians at war. You will learn about the sacrifices made by our forefathers, to preserve the lifestyle that we now as a nation enjoy.
The National Museum of Australia is another "must see" destination. You will be enthralled at the magnificent displays that help us understand the past and shape the character of Australia today.
The National Science and Technology Centre " Questacon" is always a highlight on any tour. Questacon makes science fun! Watch a lightning bolt, free fall down a six metre vertical slide, photograph your own shadow or be shaken by an earthquake. With over 200 hands-on exhibits in eight themed galleries and live science demonstrations, visitors of all ages are invited to touch, play and learn about the role of science in everyday life.
